A message from Jenni to AFSIC

A big thank you from our Founder & CEO, Jenni Chamberlain to AFSIC - Investing in Africa, for hosting another exceptional conference in London! It was an honour to speak on the "POWER PANEL: Resilient Returns - Strategies for Investing in Africa's Climate-Adaptive Future" and at the "Meet the Green Finance Investors". Proud to be part of this community of energetic, solution focused people and organisations, shaping the dialogue for the future of African investment.

It was a privilege to be part of the panel discussion on resilient climate adaptive returns alongside Eva Yazhari (Beyond Capital Ventures), Angela Muraguri (KawiSafi Ventures), Christopher B. (Development Guarantee Group), Steve Osho MBA, B.Tech, ACI, F.IOD (Comercio Partners Limited) and Khalil Lakhoua (AfricInvest Group). We explored how Africa can build climate resilience while delivering strong returns from large scale infrastructure projects and guarantees, alongside decentralised energy projects to nature solutions and green manufacturing, from the giant to the micro. There is a real opportunity to profitably ensure sustainable investment across the continent with adaptive, blended finance models driving real impact and ensuring a sustainable and resilient future for Africa.

My key takeaways from hashtag#AFSIC2025 on what’s needed to accelerate capital:

The consensus is clear: sustainability and impact are powerful catalysts for innovation, long-term resilience, and delivering double-digit returns.
A critical theme was the gap between risk perception and reality. We must challenge the current risk profiling of Africa and demand better data to ensure bankable projects.
Tech innovation and a focus on Bridging the Financial Inclusion Gap are key to driving sustainable growth and ensuring that capital moves from aid to agency and from extraction to shared prosperity.

We believe that building a thriving, sustainable future means backing Africa's best ideas and leaders today, proving that doing good is the smartest investment you can make.
